Pend Oreille River

The river set the rhythm. We listened.

Purposely oriented to follow the curve of the riverbank, this mid-century–inspired home offers 180-degree views of the Pend Oreille River and Selkirk Mountains. This home will be built using basalt unearthed on-site and locally sourced cedar—materials that root it gently in its natural context. A butterfly roof and clerestory windows provide soft, natural, ambient light deep to the interior of the home. The open plan flows around central gathering spaces, framed by natural textures and clean lines that balance warmth with clarity.
